The Fannin County Fire Department responds to two house fires.
First house fire was reported at 07:03

Dispatched to the above location for the report of a house fire. First arriving units found the house to be 75% involved with fire coming through roof. Engine 4 deployed 2 attack lines and started brining fire under control. Engine 4 also used Master Stream to cool the fire down after water supply was established. Home owners not at home at the time of the fire. Fire extinguished and all personal returned to service. State Fire Marshall’s Office investigating the cause of the fire. Red Cross contacted for the family.

Fannin County Fire Department responded to the above location for the report of house fire and to be fully involved. Engine 1 arrived on scene and due to the heavy flames had to take position, partially blocking one lane of roadway. Hwy 2 had to be shut down to thru traffic for the safety of all personal working the fire. Also found other structures and high voltage power lines to be endangered. Tri-State EMC was called immediately to assist with the power lines. Engine 1 deployed 3 attack lines. Engine 6, Engine 5, Tanker 5, Tanker 2 supplied water from hydrant located in the 100 block of Hwy 2. Fannin County Sheriffs Department assisted in closing the road and detouring traffic. State Fire Marshall investigating the cause of the fire. Red Cross contacted for the owner. Fire extinguished and all personal returned to service.
