Mr. Emmett Marshall “Dusty” Jordan passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Mr. Jordan was born in Monticello, GA on October 10, 1925. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He was a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, a member of the Blue Ridge United Methodist Men’s Group, a former member of the Fannin County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and a former Director of the Fannin County Co-Op. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Inez Jordan; his first wife and mother of his children, Helen Campbell Jordan; and a brother, George Jordan.

He is survived by his wife, Jana Jordan of Blue Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Jordan of Atlanta, GA, Lanier and Janice Jordan of Newton, GA, and Joel and Ruth Jordan of Blue Ridge, GA; stepsons and their spouses, John and Marian Smalley of Smith Station, AL and Tim and Jessica Smalley of Lawrenceville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Linton and Katie Jordan and Neil and Linda Jordan, all of Monticello, GA; grandchildren, Esther Askew, Emmett Jordan, Thomas Jordan, Ben Jordan, Sarah Jordan, Preston Smalley, Mary Kathryn Smalley, and Elizabeth Smalley; and great grandchildren, Campbell Askew, Colton Askew, and Helen Jordan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Burrell officiating. Music will be by Judy Cheyne and Jackie Gray. Pallbearers will be Emmett Jordan, Thomas Jordan, Ben Jordan, Preston Smalley, Michael Gray, and Jeff Gray. Fannin County Farm Bureau Board of Directors will serve as honorary escort. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park will military honors by North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Donation in memory of Mr. Jordan may be made to the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church P.O.
