Mr. James (Jimmy) Morris Queen, Jr., age 70, of McCaysville, GA passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his home. Mr. Queen was born in Fannin County, GA to the late James Morris, Sr. and Evelyn Ballew Queen. Mr. Queen served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jimmy went on to work for Southern Railroad where he later retired as an Accountant. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa P. Queen of Mineral Bluff, GA; son, Jamie Queen of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughters, Trisha (Ernie) Warwick of Knoxville, TN and Alicia Queen of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Larry (Marsha) Queen of Covington, GA; sisters, Barbara (Steve) Cheatham of Epworth, GA and Carol (Lennie) Green of Epworth, GA. Seven Grandchildren also survive.

Memorial Services for Mr. Queen will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be by Rev. Doug Simonds. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM on the day of the service.
