Yesterday’s storms took its toll on Downtown Blue Ridge covering the streets and sidewalks and more with inches of rain.
The flash flooding took place around 3:30 in the afternoon on Thursday.
FYN spoke with the Mayor of Blue Ridge Donna Whitener about the storm. Whitener said,
“I am thankful for the quick response and effort of all of the city employees for their hard work and willingness to help in many different capacities during the storm.”
FYN has been told of stores and houses on Main Street where water was running under the doors.
