Hundreds Attend Town Hall

Emotions ran high at the Blue Ridge City Town Hall Meeting last Tuesday night. The motion to have a town when council member Angie Arp motioned to hold a town hall meeting to discuss the installation of parking meters in downtown Blue Ridge. City Hall was packed as only standing room was available. Concerned citizens and downtown business owners come to express their opinions on the idea of parking meters.

Each person was allowed three minutes to state his or her view.

A dozen or so stood up to tell the council their feelings. Most views and the overall feel in the room would be that parking meters would be the ultimate downfall if they are installed.
