Mr. Billy Gene Parr, age 71 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his home.He was born on Saturday, April 4, 1942 in Fannin County, GA and was the son of the late James Gordon Parr and Flossie Caroline Green Parr. Billy had worked as a brick mason and was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by brothers, Sam Parr of Blue Ridge, GA and Gary (April) Parr of Dalton, GA; sisters, Carolyn Krahn of Chatsworth, GA, Joyce Parr of Chatsworth, GA and Jo Ann Farmer of Blue Ridge, GA; nieces and nephews, David and Daniel McClure, Crystal Parr, Diana Townsend, Greg Farmer, Angela and Gina Farmer, Tammy Stephens, Josh Patterson, Rich Stephens, Carolyn Evans and Rev. Randy Gray.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Randy Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David McClure, Mike Anderson, Tom Russell, James Russell, Junior Lawrence and Daniel McClure.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.
