Teens for Jeans Charity Drive

Grace Walker and Skyler Martin, student council members instigated the Teens for Jeans Charity drive here at FCHS in 2012 and led the charity drive again for homeless teens again this year.Iris Crowder worked with her mother, Michelle Crowder, and they collected jeans from the thrift store where they volunteer for 1 year, collecting hundreds of jeans for the cause. The Key Club, National Technical Honor Society, Drama Club, Copperhill First United Methodist Youth, along with FCHS students and community contributed to the cause. Three hundred jeans were collected in 2012 and nearly 1300 (2 pick-up truck loads) in 2013. For the 2nd year, the Aeropostale Store at Town Center said our school contributed the most jeans and provided the school with coupons for merchandise.
