Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mr. George Clark Rogers, age 69, of Benton, Tennessee, formerly of Blairsville, who passed away Wednesday morning, January 23, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Rogers was born in Blairsville on March 2, 1943, a son of the late Randall Rogers and the late Roberta Seabolt Rogers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and had worked in designing electrical transformers. Mr. Rogers attended the Church of God. Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was a sister Betty Collins; and four brothers: Bill Rogers, Charles Rogers, Bobby Rogers, and Donald Rogers.

Mr. Rogers will be missed by all who knew him, but especially his loving family members: his wife, Joan, of Benton; daughters, Deborah Rogers and Jennifer Lynn Emlet, both of Eatonton, Georgia; sons, Raymond George Rogers of Maxeys, Georgia and David Clark Rogers, of Benton; sister, Louise Lance, of Morganton, Georgia; and two brothers, Ray Rogers and Tommy Rogers, both of Blairsville; ten grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Rogers have been scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Terry Rogers, Larry Lance, Gary Lance, Robby Rogers, Tommy Rogers, and Robert Rogers. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery, with military honors presented by North Georgia Honor Guard, and the active duty U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.

Visitation at the funeral home will be held on the same day of the funeral, Saturday, and begin at 11 a.m., until the time for the funeral service to begin.
