Clickity clack, clickity clack is what the students at Milestones Learning Center heard from the roof as they awaited their special guest.Santa! Santa’s coming to town is what the students at Milestones Learning Center were shouting as they waited for the arrival of the much anticipated guest of the season. That’s right! Santa came to visit and bring each child a gift to encourage positive behavior and to build excitement for what is to come on Christmas morning.

Karli Sams decides to sit in Santa’s lap for the first time since she was two years old. Karli is in the Pre-K class at Milestones.

As the lobby was filled with his jolly “Ho, Ho, Ho” the pre-K students rushed to the window to catch a glimpse of Mr. Claus. Santa visited each classroom and spoke with each child, asking what they wanted for Christmas. He also wanted to know if they had been on their best behavior and then presented them with a wrapped, age appropriate book. While the one year olds weren’t thrilled by his appearance, they slowly warmed up to him as he sat in the floor looking at their new books with them.

“Their first experience with Santa is a special one and that’s why I take time to play with them and let them get familar with me”

said Santa when he was visiting with the infants.

Overall, the school had a warm welcome for Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick and they are already looking forward to his visit next year. After Santa flew off in his sleigh, the kids spent the day watching Christmas movies, learning about Christmas traditions and enjoying a Christmas party.
