Memorial Day brought many visitors to the 36th annual Spring Arts in the Park in the downtown Blue Ridge City Park in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The event was held on May 26 – 27, 2012 from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. This annual festival has become a tradition and visitors enjoy over 200 booths of art, food, crafts, and much more. Fetch enjoyed visiting the booths and talking with the vendors – each one offering something unique and sometimes delicious too!

A large crowd sought out their special find and had a wide variety to choose from such as beautiful bird houses, wood or metal creations, rocking chairs, and all kinds of delicious treats. Many brought their furry friends too and of course there were vendors with special treats for Fido as well. If you didn’t bring or have a furry friend – Homeward Bound and the Humane Society were on hand to help out with that!

FetchYourNews.com enjoyed meeting the vendors and especially sampling some of the delicious food on hand. You could have any type of barbeque, sausages, corn-on-the-cobb, and lets not forget the frozen, chocolate dipped cheesecake! This year the Fetch Award goes to “One Screw Loose” for its homemade jelly and rubs. However all vendors offered up something wonderful and unique and it was a wonderful event!
Admission to the festival is $5 per person. This event is sponsored by the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association.
