Julie Fitts Queen Announces Her Candidacy for Probate Judge In Upcoming Election

Queen is a Life Long Native of the Blue Ridge area and is a Realtor with Century 21 Professional Realty Group, with whom she has been affiliated for over ten yearsAmong several other designations, she recently completed her brokers course. Following her graduation from Fannin County High School in 1994, she attended Piedmont College in Demorest, GA and then returned to Blue Ridge, where she married and continued her education at Kennesaw State University. Julie and her husband Darren have been married for nearly 17 years and they reside in Blue Ridge along with their three children – Courtney, Collin, and Carley. She is the daughter of James and Linda Rogers Fitts, both of Blue Ridge, and she is a member of the Church of Christ . She enjoys spending time with her family and being involved with community events as well as working in building relationships with her customers and clients alike.

Queen says that she has a strong desire to use the people skills that she has acquired through managing her own business over the last several years in order to serve the fine people of Fannin County, not only to handle the necessary day to day duties of the probate office, but to make a difference for a family or an individual, in what are sometimes difficult circumstances. She feels that her background in real estate has provided her with a vast knowledge pertaining to that portion of the job, and she welcomes the opportunity to embrace the other aspects of the office, diligently studying the role of probate judge in the coming months. She feels that the probate judge must possess a compassion for the people while seeking to maintain accountability & fairness.
