Ashley Ellison and Mallory Arp pressured the Lady Colonels’ guards all night, as the Lady Rebels cruised to a 27-9 half time lead. The Lady Rebels allowed only one more point in the second half, while conversely scoring 21 points, on the way to the aforementioned 48-19 thorough thrashing. The victory over Cass marked a season sweep, as the Lady Rebels won the meeting at Cass 56-44.

The Cass Colonels drew first blood in the boys’ game; however, the Rebels responded quickly. Fannin’s Will Patterson’s “And 1” put back, made the score 3-2. The Colonels came back quickly with a 5-0 run to make the score 7-3. A back door basket by Luke Adams cut the lead to two, 7-5; however, a 7-2 to close the quarter had the visitors holding an 11-7 lead going into the second quarter.

Fannin’s fall became evident in the second quarter, as the Rebels scored only two points, by Adams, in the entire period. Despite an obvious greater commitment to crashing the boards by the Rebels, the Colonels led 30-9 at the half.
