Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mr. Wade Robert Mason, age 81, of Buford, Georgia, who passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Kindred Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Mason was born in Blairsville, a son of the late Harlan Mason and the late Aileen Towery Mason. He had lived in the Atlanta area since 1961, and attended First Baptist Church of Atlanta.

He will be missed and is lovingly remembered by his family: his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” Grizzle Mason, of Buford; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Kathryn Mason, of Buford and Gregory and Kay Mason, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; five grandchildren: David, Andrew, Melissa, Amy, and Will Mason; great granddaughter, Hayleigh Mason.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, June 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with burial in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Sunday evening, June 26, 2011, beginning at 5 p.m., with the family especially meeting with friends from 5 until 7 p.m.
