The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Pauline Marie Priest, age 89 of Blue Ridge, GA, who passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born on February 7, 1922 in Fannin County, GA to the late Harvey Newton and Laura May Cole Allen. Mrs. Priest was a homemaker and a member of Belltown Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Floyd Priest; brothers, Dewey Allen, Frank Allen and Charles Allen; sister, Bonnie Fortenbury.

Survivors include a son, Richie William Priest of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters, Becky McClure of Epworth, GA and Joy Dilly of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Clifford Allen of South Gate, MI; sisters, Beulah Hooks of Knoxville, TN, Willie Bentley of Pikesville, KY, Lorene Franklin of Blairsville, GA and Mary Bryson of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, Michael and Rebecca Holden of Chatsworth, GA and Chris and Kristie Greeson of Mineral Bluff, GA; great grandchildren, Hannah Holden, Joshua Holden, Isaac Brooks, Lucas Brooks, Evan Greeson, Chloe Greeson, Josephine Dunnivan, Edith Gunter and Kyleigh Key also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Mike Jarrett officiating. Music will be by Rev. Mike and Linda Jarrett. Pallbearers will be Michael Holden, Chris Greeson, Mike Meeler, George Watson, Jeremiah Jarrett and Frazier Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Gene Ware and Rev. Marvin Young. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
